Tuna Fish Pate
7 oz (188g) canned tuna (of course Canadian Albacore, eh!)
3 oz (75g) melted butter
2 tablespoon (30ml) lemon juice
1 tablespoon (15 ml) capers
1 tablespoon (15ml) chopped parsley
2 tablespoon (30ml) real mayonnaise
pinch of pepper
- Drain the tuna, pound it into a paste, stir into melted butter.
- Season with lemon juice and pepper.
- Stir in capers, parsley and mayonnaise.
- Check seasoning. Put in fridge for 24 hours, take out 1 hour before serving.
Suggestion: Serve with fresh baguette and a dry white wine.
